Mozilla Releases Critical Updates

"Critical" security updates were released today by the Mozilla Foundation that address vulnerabilities that were discovered in the Firefox browser, Thunderbird e-mail client and the SeaMonkey application suite. The flaws discovered were found in versions, prior to Firefox 2.0.0.1, Firefox 1.5.0.9, Thunderbird 1.5.0.9 and SeaMonkey 1.0.7, according to Mozilla. Those who have auto-updating enabled have likely already received the security updates, however updates can be downloaded directly from http://www.mozilla.org/. The vulnerabilities are a potential exploit for cross-site scripting attacks, which would let malicious attackers launch a remote execution of code on users' computers. This would potentially expose sensitive information. Mozilla has labeled these updates as "critical" however security company Secunia has labeled them "highly critical..."
